Feature On Ricky Valero

The next feature is about a wrestler that definitely needs no introduction to wrestling fans in Peru.  His name is Ricky Valero.

Ricky has wrestled for about three years with GeneraXion Lucha Libre and with Gladiadores.  Whether it's Rigel Sports Field or the Danzak Arena, he has provided great moments in the short time he's been in the ring.  Also, Ricky has faced some of the best that Peru has to offer.

This blogger has seen his in ring action on You Tube video.  Definitely, Ricky has improved in the short time in the squared circle.  His interactions with the fans are great, as well as, are the promos.

It will be interesting to see how Ricky is as a wrestler going forward.  His first match in 2026 at a GLL Peru event last month could possibly be a game changer.  If you haven't seen the video of the match, it can be found on the Grim Reaper You Tube page.  Please check it out if you have a chance.  As well, please subscribe to the page.  The camerawork and commentary are great.

Here is what Ricky shared with this blogger recently.  Hope everyone here enjoys this....

I started being a wrestling fan at the age of five.  I remember that my dad bought a DVD of the 2008 Survivor Series event.  That event introduced me to all this wrestling.  I saw Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Edge for the first time and from there, I felt a connection.

I had never seen anything like it.  I became a super fan until today, that I try to see as much wrestling as possible.  In that same show, I met who would be my favorite idol and fighter to this day, Jeff Hardy.  I grew up with him watching how he became WWE world champion and his departure from the company.  His striking colors, his charisma and his extravagance was what captivated me.  In addition, his fighting style influenced me a lot to this day as a fighter, the risk and adrenaline infected me.

Apart from Jeff, I have several favorite fighters, but not at the level of fanaticism I had for Jeff.  For example, Sami Callihan, Frankie Kazarian, A.J. Styles, these three being the ones who introduces me to the best era of TNA when I was six years old.  Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, etc.

My first match was a Dark Match in March 2023 in Fuego Cruzado against my friend, Indigo but my first official match as part of the event was in the same year in Alto Voltaje against Magno from Gladiadores.

Thank you Ricky for sharing what led you to something you love and enjoy today.  All the best to you in all of your future matches!
