Hello everyone. Have some thoughts about Lucha Libre in the South America region.
This blogger loves wrestling no matter what part of the world it is. This fan has seen The Territory Era (1960s when first watching) as well as what I've seen in Southeast Asia (Japanese style) as well as Lucha Libre. They are all enjoyable and all of them have their strong points.
My introduction with Lucha Libre was seeing the Guerrero brothers in Los Angeles at the Olympic Audtorium in 1977. Living about 650 kilometers north of the venue, wrestling fans got to see Lucha Libre each Wednesday night on Canal 14, a UHF channel (prior to cable). It was refreshing seeing the difference between what I was seeing and lucha libre.
Moving forward, after doing a Southeast Asia wrestling blog for three years, this blogger wanted to do an additional blog. It was important to do one from another area of the world. Lucha Libre is something I see currently with AEW and WWE programming. This blogger knew about AAA based in Mexico. Howeverm this fan was wondering if there were promotions in South America. Certainly, thanks to one wrestler, J.O.C who wrestles for GeneraXion Lucha Libre in Peru, the blog is now happening.
GLL Peru, and the wrestlers with the promotion, have been great with this blogger and fan. As a blogger, it's important to reach out to as many fans as possible whether it's Peru or any other country. Hopefully, that will happen over it time. It worked with the Southeast Asia wrestling blog and this blogger knows it can happen with this one.
Slowly, am following some of the other promotions in South America. Gladiadores Peru, Lucha Libre Lider (Bolivia), Jach'a Pacha Pro Wrestling (Bolivia), Arica Lucha Libre (Chile) and WAR Lucha Libre del Ecuador have been promotions that this fan is following right now. It's a work in progress in following each promotion. Each one will see more posts in the future.
This blogger has been watching You Tube videos from each of the promotions. Will do my best here to get to know the wrestlers more as time goes by. Each promotion has good shows from what I've seen and it's fun watching each.
So far, my shoutout to both GLL Peru and Gladiadores for their recent shows. This blogger has had a chance to watch most of the videos. Both promotions do really good work in which the fan can follow easier.
Also, this blogger would like to share the WAR Lucha Libre stream from this past Saturday, February 28th. The event was called It's Time from Ecuador.
This blogger doesn't want this to come off as if it is a criticism. Every promotion tries their best to put on a quality product.
The stream that was done on You Tube had some technical issues. As a blogger who has seen You Tube videos in Southeast Asia wrestling shows, this is very common. The issue is very likely a You Tube issue from my experiences.
Earlier today, this blogger had a chance to review the video which is now on You Tube. WAR Lucha Libre was able to make the video a lot better than those who saw the stream live. It's not perfect but an improvement for all of us who would like to see it again.
The show appeared to be good. Seeing the video now, there is a little more continuity. The fans who were watching at the arena enjoyed it which is important in this day of age. Thank you WAR Lucha Libre for doing the stream and making any corrections!
In closing, this blogger will do the best possible to keep fans updated. Please feel free to contact me with anything that could make Pro Wrestling - South America better. Thank you!
