More About The Blogger

Hello everyone.

This blogger grew up in the era known as The Territory Era (please see pic above) watching it for the first time in 1968.  The state of California where I'm from (it's shaded in grey and yellow on the left side), I watched shows for several years in the grey section of the state.

This blogger had no idea until around 1980 that there were this many territories.  Thanks to a magazine, Pro Wrestling Illustrated, it gave me a better sense to what was going on.  Our area would have a United States champion.  For years, I thought the champion would travel throughout the U.S.  Quickly, this fan learned that he or she was the champion in a smaller area.

Also, there are books and videos now out regarding most of the areas in North America who had shows.  The history is enormous.

While doing this blog, this blogger is intrigued with each of the countries with Lucha Libre promotions in South America.  Though I don't have every country yet with at least one wrestling promotion, by the day, this fan is learning more.  The history of each country so far is amazing and it's something this fan will continue learning.  Soon, each South American country will have something written.

Hopefully, this blog is being done in the right, respectful, and most complete way as possible.  This blogger has received enormous help in Bolivia and Peru, and am grately appreciated by it.  Pro Wrestling and Lucha Libre is a part of my life.  What this fan sees through Social Media and in other publications is amazing of how far Lucha Libre has come in such a short time.

Doing this blog is a small way in giving back what pro wrestling has done in my lifetime.  Definitely, I'm looking forward to the day, later this year, in visiting a country or countries.  Certainly, the culture, food, beauty and history is always important.  Definitely, a Lucha Libre event or events is a definite plus!
