One Epic Showdown

On Saturday, March 21, a packed crowd at the Danzak Arena in Lima, Peru will see a showdown at Gladiadores Gladiversario MMXXVI show.

The Gran Campeon, Mansilla, will go one on one with Ian Muhlig in a Title vs. Career Match!

What can one say about Mansilla!  As of this post, the Gran Campeon has held the title 466 days, second most in the history of the belt.  He has defended the title at least 15 times (according to Cagematch) against nearly everyone on the roster, including his opponent.  Mansilla is definitely one of the top, if not the best wrestlers this blogger has currently seen in Peru on video.

Ian Muhlig is no slouch by any means.  The veteran wrestler has been successful in his career winning a lot of matches at Gladiadores' events.  He is a two time title holder from another promotion and is capable of winning any championship, not only in Peru, but in South America.

Mansilla vs. Muhlig one-on-one matches haven't occurred that often.  However, the two tangled in an event earlier this year called Gladiadores 61: Golpe de Calor (Heat Block).

The record books will say that Mansilla was the winner of the match.  If you see the video, there were multiple things that occurred that led up to the victory.

The previous show, Gladiadores 62: Carnaval Surquillano, Muhlig would get a little redemption.  As part of a six man tag team, his team defeated Mansilla's team.  What followed was a meeting in the ring between Gladiadores Commissioner, Carmelo Duran and Muhlig.

The match was made there in the ring.  Mansilla vs. Ian Muhlig in a title vs. career match.

Matches don't happen like this very often.  For those fortunate in securing a ticket, Gladiversario will be one historical night.  This match will not be the only one either.  As of this post, there will be Franco Azurin vs. Caoz in a one-on-one match.  Other matches will be announced soon!  The event begins at 6pm.
